A little heads-up before you visit

It's a real family home, after all!

Our dog Lucky lives here, and our six-year-old may be around too. Don't be surprised if you hear a little family chatter between all the pottery fun. If you have dog allergies or feel uneasy around dogs, just let us know before booking so we can chat about it.

01

Come on over!

Make yourself at home. We'll say hello, pop on the aprons and show you around.

02

Make some magic (and a mess).

Take a spin on the wheel, paint a mug or plate and laugh through the wobbly bits. We help with everything!

03

We'll do the firing.

We'll take care of drying, glazing and firing. Then we'll message you when your little masterpieces are ready.

A little note about handmade pottery: Clay can sometimes crack or change shape while drying and firing. We care for every creation, but successful firing isn't guaranteed, and damaged pieces can't be replaced. It's part of working with real clay.

hello
there! ♡
Your pottery buddy

Hi, I'm Asami! ♡

I'm Asami — a mum, a pottery maker, and the one who'll be welcoming you into our home (probably with clay all over my apron).

I spent three months in Jingdezhen, China, learning pottery and falling completely in love with working with clay. Now I get to share that joy with people who walk through our door.

ASA Studio isn't about making perfect pots. It's about spending time together, trying something new, and having a really lovely afternoon. Bring the family — I'll get everything ready for you.

See you soon, Asami ♡

Before you pop by...

A few little things to make your visit extra comfortable.

Do we need any experience?

Not at all! Everything is designed for first-timers. We'll show you what to do and help throughout the session.

How long is each workshop?

Wheel + Painting: about 2 hours for 1–2 guests, 2.5 hours for 3 guests, and 3 hours for 4–5 guests. Our 2-adult + 1-child family package is 2.5 hours. Painting-only sessions last about 60 minutes.

Can children join?

Yes! Our pottery wheel experience is for ages 6 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult, with hands-on adult support for younger participants. The painting-only activity is also suitable for younger children with adult supervision.

How many people can join?

We welcome groups of up to five. We have one pottery wheel, so everyone takes turns while others paint. Larger groups are given longer sessions.

What do we make and take home?

For Wheel + Painting, each participant creates two items: one on the wheel and one decorated bisque-fired mug or plate. Painting Only includes one mug or small plate. Finished pieces are subject to successful drying and firing.

Can we take our pottery home the same day?

Not on the same day! Your pottery needs time to dry, be glazed and fired. We aim to have your finished pieces ready for collection within 4 weeks of your workshop. We’ll contact you when they’re ready.

What if my pottery cracks during firing?

Sometimes clay cracks or changes shape during drying and firing. We handle every piece with care, but we can't guarantee the result and don't provide replacement pieces for unsuccessful firings.

Is this really in your home?

Yes! ASA Studio is a small, home-based pottery space in Serangoon — more like visiting friends than going to a big pottery school. Sessions are by appointment, and we'll send arrival details once we've confirmed your booking.

Will there be a dog or children around?

Our dog Lucky lives here, and our six-year-old may be around during your visit. It's a family home, so if you have dog allergies or concerns, please tell us before booking so we can discuss whether the space suits your needs.

How do we get there?

We're less than 10 minutes' walk from NEX in Serangoon. We'll share the exact home address and arrival instructions once we've confirmed your booking.

What should we wear?

Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little messy! Short sleeves are helpful, and long hair is best tied back.

We'd love to meet you
